An R&R won't fix this.
Coaching and functional movement for humanitarians and professionals. I’m here to help you keep it together when everything’s coming apart.

Why I Understand This
For eight years I lived and worked in the Rohingya humanitarian response in Bangladesh. I lived through the stress, the burnout, the breakdowns, and the slow realization that the people holding everyone together usually have no one holding them.
I’m an ICF coach and an E-RYT 500 specializing in functional movement, which is a long way of saying I work with both the mind and the body, because that’s where this kind of exhaustion actually lives.
I left the field knowing how much it can take out of you; it took me close to nine months to feel like myself again.
What I Offer
Integrated Coaching
The full method.
We work with your mind and your body together, because this kind of pressure lives in both. A 1:1 partnership, not a quick fix.
Coaching
Mind
The decisions, the weight, the way forward, worked through in our partnership.
Best suited for: Humanitarians, expats, and cross-cultural teams.
Functional Movement
Body
Where the stress actually settles, released through practical, accessible movement.
Best suited for: Anyone who carries stress in their body, not just their head.
My Clients Often Ask
What type of clients do you work best with?
Professionals in complex environments, such as humanitarian organizations, professional services firms, and public-sector teams.
How long is a typical engagement?
Individual coaching is usually a six-month engagement of twice-monthly sessions, with email support between. Team programs are scoped per goal, anything from a single half-day workshop to a multi-day retreat plus follow-through.
Do you work with clients outside Japan?
Yes. I’m based in Tokyo but coach virtually worldwide and travel for in-person engagements. Most of my clients are in different time zones than I am.
What's the difference between coaching and therapy?
Therapy is licensed clinical work focused on mental health and the past. Coaching is forward-focused partnership on goals, skills, and how you want to operate. I’ll always refer when therapy is what someone needs, as the two can be complementary.
How do we know if we are a fit?
Book a free 30-minute discovery call. No pitch! We talk about what you’re working on, you ask whatever you want, and we both decide whether continuing makes sense.
Clients I've supported

Trusted by teams at WFP, UNHCR, FAO, the Danish Refugee Council, ADB, and more.
What my clients say
I had the opportunity to work with Betsy in the organisation and in running several retreats. Betsy understands how to engage audiences for maximum participation.
I’ve also been a participant when she has led difficult conversations with team members.
Betsy helped me unlock my potential and relocate from Hong Kong to Singapore. Her sessions gave me space to deal with the anxiety of moving and to close my cycle. She always created a safe environment and challenged me to step out of my comfort zone.
Bring me the real question. I'll bring the space to work it out.
A free 30-minute call. No pitch, no obligation, just a conversation about what you’re navigating, and whether we’d work well together.
